Tintawn Curragh Carpets has been making carpet in County Kildare for over 70 years. As an Irish carpet manufacturer, we are proud to use the prestigious ‘Guaranteed Irish’ logo. Curragh Carpets was initially established as Curragh Tintawn Carpets and was formed as a division of Irish Ropes Plc. Originally the division was created to manufacture carpet from the sisal used to make ropes, and this carpet was branded as Tintawn
Until the 1950s the traditional method of manufacturing carpet was weaving, Axminster Wilton and Flatbed. In the 1950′s new technology was developed that enabled carpet to be manufactured using the tufting process. Curragh Carpets can supply carpet manufactured using all four of these carpet production methods.
